FAQ

I’m delighted that you’ve chosen to buy a print from me and I hope the following provides helpful extra information.

Prints

Seen/ Unseen

The prints are created for you with the utmost of care.

All my prints are archival quality, giclée prints and are printed at a professional quality and specialist fine art printers who use higher quality fade resistant, archival, pigment based inks and best in class print machines.

I have chosen beautiful Hahnemühle Pearl Fine art paper for the Seen/ Unseen collection, which has a smooth orange peel texture and a satin finish and is a luxurious weight at 285 GSM. It has a bright neutral white base and offers vibrant colour reproduction and great detail which is perfect for these images. Hahnemühle have been making sublime papers for 440 years!

The prints are signed and have the edition number you have bought on the white border and each print comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Cyanotypes

These are originals printed onto acid free, 300gsm art paper.

Colour

The colour you see on your screen may differ from the final print you receive as all screens show colour slightly differently. Although please be assured I have worked very carefully to ensure that the end print is as it should be.

Frames for the Seen/ Unseen flowers

These are ready to hang beautiful quality, sturdy frames made from FSC certified wood from sustainably managed forests that meet the criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council. The glass is edge ground float glass with the UV filter of approximately 45%.

The frames are made with nail hanging fixtures.

Carbon footprint

My work is inspired by nature and it’s very important to me that I do my part to protect it. My studio is at home and the vast majority of my subject matter is found in my own garden. I grow most of my plants from seed and cuttings with odd plants or flowers bought in.

The professional printers I use are fully end to end carbon neutral, (including the delivery). They have printing bases in London, Germany and USA and ship to you direct from the closest base to reduce airmails. They are audited by carbonfootprint.com and they offset via The Gold Standard and via renewable energy projects in line with WWF guidance.
